Angie Gallo has been an advocate for education for over 15 years. Shortly after her oldest daughter started kindergarten she became involved in the Orange County Public School (OCPS) System. It was then that she realized she could and should advocate for more than just her own child’s education.
Angie started advocating by serving on multiple committees including; the search for Superintendent, the Calendar Committee, and the Committee to select Orange County Teacher of the Year. She also held many leadership positions with the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), the School Advisory Committee (SAC), and she is a graduate of the Inaugural Class of OCPS Leadership Orange.
Over the past several years Angie has traveled extensively Tallahassee to educate legislators on OCPS. She has earned the trust of multiple legislators, who now rely on her expertise before voting on education policy. Angie knows the importance of investing in our students and teachers to create a better tomorrow. As a passionate and informed advocate, Angie is running for Orange County School Board District 1 to continue to improve education for our children.
Angie and her husband live in East Orange County where their youngest daughter is a senior at East River High School. Their oldest daughter, an East River High School graduate, is currently attending school at Florida State University.
